TOUR COMPANY: LA LEONA WATERFALL
The La Leona Waterfall Tubing Tour is a fun and exciting river adventure that combines floating, mild adrenaline, and stunning natural scenery along the Colorado River.
The experience begins with a 5-minute 4×4 ride from reception to the river, followed by a short 5-minute walk to the riverbank. Before entering the water, your guides will give a thorough safety briefing, explaining the do’s and don’ts of river tubing. Paddles are optional, you can use one for extra control or simply relax and float with the current.
During the tour, you’ll navigate a mix of Class I rapids (calm and relaxing), Class II rapids (fun and splashy), and a few Class III rapids (faster and more exciting). Throughout the river, trained guides are strategically positioned, especially in the rapids, to ensure everyone stays safe and enjoys the ride.
Short stops are made along the way at designated points where cables cross the river. These pauses allow the guides to move ahead and prepare for the next set of rapids, keeping the experience smooth and well organized.
At the end of the tubing section, you’ll exit the river using small ladders, where a 4×4 vehicle will be waiting to take you back to reception.
Tubing with Kids Extra Safety
Safety is the top priority on this tour, especially for families traveling with children. For younger kids, a dedicated guide is assigned exclusively to them for the entire experience. The guide holds onto the child’s tube at all times, ensuring they do not flip or drift away.
Children do not use paddles, and the guide assists them through calm sections and rapids alike. This system allows parents to enjoy the adventure knowing their child is safe, supported, and never left alone.
